In Drain

They were in love.
They were staying wet all the time.
They would get into the water and splash it at each other and laugh.
The water would sparkle in the rays of light,
And the drops of it would shine on their beautiful bodies.
When it rained they staid home.
As they would soak in the bathtub, he would take a razor and shave her soft pussy.
Every little hair on it, around every curve and in every little fold.
And it would become girlish and smiley and sometimes even laughing.
And itchy.  And thirsty.
And the water just kept on running.
And it rained and rained.
And sometimes the marshy soil around their house got soaked to the limit.
And the flood began.
And then the piping of the City sewer failed.
And the sinks got clogged.  And the toilet would not flush.
And the solution of their bodily fluids and solids came back to haunt them.
Sinks became full of water, but the water stunk and hair floated in it.
And so, they stopped using it.
And they went dry.
They were thirsty, but refused to drink.
And their skin wrinkled and peeled off, and they did not look as pretty anymore.
And their eyes got irritated,
And what they saw in each other's faces was not what they wanted to see.
And they started avoiding looking at one another.
And then they began going outside, as they felt ashamed of themselves.
And they stayed out on their own longer and longer each time,
And nothing happened.
And they got used to the thirst.

And then, one day, the sun came out again.
And the sewer pipes got fixed by the City.
And he cleaned sinks of pubic hair and shit.
And everything went back to looking normal.
But it was not the same anymore.
Maybe the light shone at a different angle.
Or, maybe, the water supply changed.
But that water just was not the same anymore.
It did not sparkle.
And, so they still refused to drink it.
And finally they dried.  And died.

It is said that the ancient city of Rome once fell
of poisoning by led used in the pipes.
History will tell if the progress and the use of steel has changed it for better.
