I can't be your every need

one more anything.
Can't you see it?
It's suffocating me!
I can't be what you want
now or ever.
I can't be everyone's god,
anyone's lover.
I just can't!

is a lie.
Can't did everything
until it couldn't.
Every self inflicted expectation
of my own creation
becomes a grain of sand
that builds my mountain
and yet...
I can't say, "I can't"
