Summer Rain

After a long summer rain,
The darkness of vivid blue sky,
Mixed with a fragrance of pain
Smelled like a fresh sundae pie.

Millions and billions of crystals
Fell from the sky to the ground,
Banging like bullets from pistols
Landed on earth with keen sound.

Waters so imbued with power –
Clear and crispy delight,
Turned into jewelry shower
Hiding from me the sunlight.

Beautiful sun now came out,
Warming and drying the land,
While rainbow behind a cloud
Shines like the grains of sand.
