Carnations
I was sad and depressed –
All incentive was gone
To continue my best.
I felt numb.
Only wind in my head,
And some dust on the floor –
That is all that was left.
Little drops
Full of salt and contempt
Rolling down my cheeks
Made me want to forget
All the things,
Which were good in my life –
Just because of one day,
They had lost their price.
But he came,
Brought carnations to me –
Whole bright-red bouquet
With aromas of spring.
Then I bloomed,
And I smiled at a thought,
That it’s better than I
Could have ever imagined.
