Boredom, loathing…What an end for a song!
Don't drink the last drop in the bottle -
Residue can be sour and gritty.
Even if a novel was witty,
The last chapter might prove to be boring.
Do not look for a spark in the ashes.
When the fire is gone, you'll get dirty.
It's much better to be a bit naughty
And to scatter love ashes with cheering!
Do we really need the suspicions,
Accusations, confessions, and tears?
There are going to be other "dears"
In your life and in mine, I do swear..
Let's exchange a "Good-bye"- and a kiss.
We are really strangers, as you know.
And we'll fly wherever winds will blow
Carrying a sweet memory of bliss.
