Of Tree On A Cliff
On sorrowful cliff above the sea
So high that stones beneath my Ever
Can't understand what I believe
They can't forgive the hope I cherish:
Spread black strong wings - two shining knives,
Unseal the sky, by lightning perish
That's only thing I name - Life!
Black raven whirls high
In clouds above my eyes
Hold silence to my cry
And heart of bluest skyes
But hear, Raven, shedding tree,
I crave not for a calm again,
The child of wind and wild free
I call you, Thunder, bring the rain!
So many times I scream your name,
Black raven, take me in the sky!
Among grim rocks I've grown insane
This afterglow I need to fly!
To fly above the proud ocean
O’ younger brother of the sun!
Into decline mourn the devotion:
To rise inflamed until I'm done
Shadow my way,
Burn by your Sorrow,
Shine my leaves with laughter of storm!
Touch me again
With pain of Tomorrow
I'm willing true Love - the death to my own!
...and I'll become a sea of autumn
My crown I've thrown into your dawn
Enough alive to die immortal
When rain just will pour down...
Black wings keep whirling high
In clouds above my eyes
The storm will rise with silent cry
And blood of new-born skyes
And listen, Raven, shedding tree
My heart aches high with life again
The child of wind and wild free
I call you, Thunder, bring the rain!
