Love That Warms

In my life, the tempests raged, thunder rolled time and again,
Storms would batter, at times my soul felt laden with pain.
Yet the light of love from kin ever warms my core,
It burns within my heart, a flame that won’t ignore.

Dear ones, like rays of sunshine bright,
Like the warmth that breaks upon spring’s first light.
When trials loom and shadows creep,
They lend their aid, dispelling the swathe of grief.

When the world turns against me, their love knows no end,
It comforts and reassures, my troubles they mend.
Amid familiar faces, my heart finds its peace,
Their love melts the ice of sorrow, granting sweet release.

Though at times unseen, like shadows ‘neath the moon,
They whisper soft like springtime’s gentle tune.
In my darkest hours, their kindness and glow,
Soothe my weary heart, like dawn’s tender show.

Relations shine like stars that glitter in the night,
There’s none dearer to my soul, none more bright in sight.
And though the sands of time rush, like traffic swirls outside,
With the love of my kin, the thunder strikes me not, I'll face it's stride.
