The words hang heavy, a playful taunt,
‘Why, you're in love, boy!’ a truth they flaunt.
A blush creeps up, a smile takes hold,
A secret whispered, a story told.
The heart beats faster, a rhythm new,
A world transformed, in shades of blue.
The eyes they sparkle, a knowing gleam,
A happy spirit, a fairy dream.
The laughter's lighter, the steps more fleet,
A foolish hope, a joy complete.
The world outside, a blur, a haze,
Consumed by feelings in a love's maze.
‘Why, you're in love, boy!’ the voice rings clear,
A joyful truth, dispelling fear.
For love has blossomed, a tender shoot,
A whispered secret, a blossoming fruit.
Why, you re in love, boy!
