What could impede, what force could stay,
The merging of two kindred souls' display?
Love is not love, if swayed by others' might,
If chilled by absence, losing all its light.
Love's presence with them, ever near and true,
No power can break the bond they hold in view.
It sleeps and wakes, a guiding star's bright gleam,
Through passing years, a constant, steadfast dream.
The bloom of youth, the strength of days gone by,
May fade and vanish 'neath a changing sky.
But love alone, through storms and trials survives,
Unwavering, its faithful promise thrives.
Time may change much around,
But love remains, like a star that leads.
In its light, we find our way,
To happiness that never fades.
