Firefly s Lullaby
Not a star in the sky, oh so chill,
Moon's hidden behind clouds, gray and deep,
All the world is fast asleep,
Firefly, firefly, light so bright,
Is your journey near or far tonight?
But your tiny spark, a gentle gleam,
Makes the world a little bit dream,
When the morning sun starts to peep,
Little firefly, you'll fall asleep,
In the young grass, you'll softly rest,
Till the night comes, put you to the test.
Only crickets chirp in the trees,
Little firefly, if you please,
Among willow branches, bright and bold,
Like a star, your light unfold,
Shine a light for all to see,
Make the world a little bit free!
