A very dear person passed away

On the 21st of August 2024 my beloved father-in-law passed away.
Wonderful person, the grandfather of my children.
May he rest in peace! I dedicate these verses to him.

In quiet whispers, shadows blend,
A gentle heart has met its end.
Today the world feels heavy still,
As memories cling, yet time won’t fill.

Through winding paths we walked as one,
With laughter shared beneath the sun.
Your wisdom wrapped around my soul,
In every story, you made me whole.

The autumn leaves now softly fall,
A testament to love’s sweet call.
Though silence lingers where you stood,
Your spirit dances in the wood.

With every tear that finds its way,
I celebrate your life today.
For in my heart you’ll always stay,
My guiding star when skies turn gray.

So rest now in eternal peace,
From earthly cares may you release.
Though grief may shadow all I see,
Your love will remain forever in my life's sea.
