Trust the life

In the midst of a desert, where sand meets the heat,
In the branches of a dry tree - shelter and retreat.
There a bird sought its nest each day anew,
Finding refuge in shadows that softly it grew.

But suddenly fierce came a tempest's might,
And wrenched from its roots the creaking wood’s height.
The bird had to fly, through vast spaces it sped,
To seek another haven where safety could spread.

Hundreds of miles and more our bird soared high,
To a garden of paradise beneath the sky.
Where waters do babble and fruits scent the air,
Lush trees offer shade with their bounteous care.

And in life it may happen: we lose our firm ground,
And feel that ahead lies but emptiness found.
Do not lose your spirit! For storms will abate,
Giving way to fair days and this world' beauty innate.
